"I really like The Black Cat because you will never know how dramatic and tragic the deaths are. For example, the narrator's wife got an axe burried into her brain, and it killed her! I also liked the symbolism in the reason the narrator had to kill the cat because of the constant remainder of what he is capable of."

"My first encounter with Poe was in 6th grade English class. We had a play form of the story "the Tell Tale Heart" we would read every time we had a sub. I loved always being a police officer and talking about green tea. After that, I read the Raven in 9th grade and found it bone-chilling. This year, I have read the Masque of the Red Death, the Pit and the Pendulum, and the House of Usher. Amazing."

"I really thought this website was useful and it helped me a lot in a school project (webquest). It had a wide variety of information on Poe and I learned many new things. My favorite story by Edgar Allan Poe is The Cask of Amontillado. I like this story because it kept me turning the page and surprised until the end. "I fell in love with Poe when I was seven, when I first read The Fall of the House of Usher after finishing off my stock of H. P. Lovecraft. Now fourteen, I have been listening to a peculiar band called Creature Feature that has a song, "Buried Alive" based off of most of his poems and stories. I too am an author and poet and he is my inspiration for my delicate work."
