"Hi my name is Benjamin Olson and I thought the site was awesome and gave out a lot of good information. My favorite story from Poe is "The Tell Tale Heart" and this is my favorite because the whole thing is just incredible like the way it makes you feel because of the setting of the story and I love how sinister it is and how its just messed up and twisted because you don't see a lot of that in poems ever and that's what I like about his work is because it is unique and different."

"Hey, his poem about a dream within a dream was pretty good and made me think a bit and he seems to be pretty cool.. Besides from marrying his cousin.. He's still pretty cool and it's kinda sad that he just died like that with no one knowing how he died and that he didn't ever see his success, but he'll now be remembered for his discoveries at least"

"Edgar Allan Poe makes it a little difficult for readers to understand his poetry. But, after reading some of his poems, I've realized that he talks a lot about love. For example, in Annabelle Lee, he loved her so much and always talked about his love for her in the poem. But her death made it difficult to love."

There are a number of theories on how Poe died but all of them have issues. Don't believe any source that claims they have it figured out. They don't. You can read about some of the main theories here: https://www.eapoe.org/geninfo/poedeath.htm

Yes, I've wondered that myself. Maybe the IP location data is missing for Russia or isn't available to the public? Wanna see something else weird? Scroll over to South Korea, then start zooming in. Once you get past a certain zoom level, the map doesn't allow my dark color scheme. Everywhere else in the world its fine.

"I like reading his stories and stuff but I still can't get over that he married his 13 year old cousin."
REPLY from Robert Giordano:
I've commented on this before but things were different 200 years ago. It appears that Edgar married his cousin more to take care of her than for any other reason. He loved her very much, that much is certain. No one knows if they had any kind of sexual relationship. They had definitely had no children. Edgar was always struggling to make enough money to feed himself, Virginia, and his Aunt Clemm.
