"Edgar Allen Poe was a very visionary person. He was very deep and descriptive, this is why I love reading his poems and stories. The Tell Tale Heart has to be one of my favorite short stories ever. This site has done a wonderful job of capturing his work in an accessible format."

"This website gives a lot of information about Poe's life. "The Pit and the Pendulum" is my favorite story. Mr. Poe made this story really scary. I didn't know if the narrator will be found innocent at the last minute or be struck by the Pendulum."

"So far all of Edgar Allan Poe's books and poems I have read have been excellent in suspense and horror, I like that in a story. A perfect example would be in book "The Masque of the Red Death" when the prince tries to attack the outrageously dressed mystery man, only to find he's the plague."

It gives you details of a man who is not 'crazy', but 'mad' or insane some come to think. During the entire sort the narrator makes it a note to inform us that that the man is not crazy. The story gives us a look inside the mind of a mad man."
