"Poe was a very good writer and I think he was a good person for his time and he was definitely a gifted student, but since he didn't have proper parenting, he couldn't have a proper education because his foster parents wouldn't supply him with the proper needs."

REPLY from Robert Giordano:
Poe went to boarding school in England from 6 to 11 years old. He probably got more of an education than many kids get in high school today.

"Edgar Allan Poe is definitely the author of some of my favorite short stories such as "The Cask of Amontillado" and "The Tell Tale Heart". I love creative writing and writing my own stories so Poe is a huge inspiration. I love how all of his stories are reflections of his own emotions, particularly "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee".
