"This site is very well made, I love the colors and the fonts that were used to build this site. I enjoyed reading "Alone," by Edgar Allan Poe, even though I could barely make out what was being said. This poem was a favorite of mine, because it talks about loneliness in a way I've never seen anyone approach it. Poe's works are truly phenomenal."

"I think this site is very unique and original because you can't find another and this site gives good information and examples on Edgar Allen Poe especially for people who don't know who he is, what he did, and why he is important to today's society. I personally think Edgar Allen Poe was a unique write and his poems have special effects and meanings that leave people thinking."

"To be someone who, even beyond the grave, reaches people is to be someone who has done well in time.<br />Edgar's poems hold such meaning and weight, and in that people everywhere find a sense of being. In the prose he wrote, people found meaning. And the meaning may not be the intended one, but it was the one that needed to be heard. The meaning that was needed. <br />The man himself was just as much of a mystery as his work, even in the way his life occurred. He went through highs and lows throughout his life. Because of that, he created meaning.<br />Unique is the sense when one finds the words one needs."

"I am a student at Richards Middle School and after reading these biographies and pieces of literature, I realized how one person could have gone through so much, but they still turn out to be a diamond in the rough. It was really interesting to see how an orphan who had a rocky relationship with his foster parents, still be able to create such deep pieces of literature."

"Marlow played chess; Holmes was obvious... But Poe claimed that any writing (the raven) could be arrived at by deduction (ratiocination his word). The essay stating this a joke/sarcasm? I believe it. Numerous examples of screenplays only pulling together after twenty or more rewrites (sixth sense etc)- way ahead of his time."

Yes, I've read that essay and I'm not sure I agree with what Poe is saying. But then again, Poe was an expert cryptographer and maybe there's a hidden message in that essay?
